It might be cold out, but our hearts are warm!

EXCITING news!! We have another sponsor! Belle Vernon Area Credit Union has sponsored us with $2500! A big YIPPEE and THANK YOU! They will be presenting the check to the Rostraver Historical Society with the Mon Valley Independent on hand for the presentation. :)

The owner of Belle Tavern and the Kodiak has put in for being one of our main food vendors. He is working on a special menu just for the day!

Also, we have another exciting attraction! - Friendship Hill Equestrian Services is coming with their wagon and two big Belgium horses to give rides around the farm! We think this will be fun for young and old! And it is handicap accessible for anyone who wants to ride!

Wireharp has confirmed his attendance and is sure to bring smiles to kids as he performs in his covered wagon with dancing puppets and live music. We are so glad to be bringing in entertainment for the kids! AND on that note ;) we are on the lookout for a petting zoo, or something similar. If you know of any, let us know!

We are meeting with the Garrison de Presque Isle this coming Saturday to try and pursuade them to come to our 250. They are a great group of French and Indian war re-enactors with some exciting acting and camps that show how the troops and Indians lived. We do hope for their confirmation!

Two weekends ago we met with another group, The Blue and Gray Brigade - a Civil War group that will be coming with re enactments that will be held in our Spring and Smoke houses. The Blue and Gray Brigade is dedicated to bringing Pennsylvania Civil War history alive.

It seems like there is so much going on but there is so MUCH to do yet! We would appreciate any volunteers for the big day or even if you can help now with specific groups, please let us know!

Thank you for visiting!

Have a blessed day!

Mark and Alicia Cook
